Essie's Apples




Essie is a one of a kind art sculpture. She is an old woman apple peddler, standing on a miniature cobblestone base. She is wearing a handmade autumn green dress with tattered ends along the bottom. Her frayed cape and kinked, frizzy hair give her a witch-like appearance, making her a perfect Halloween addition. In her hands is a handmade wooden crate with tiny sculpted apples.

Essie and her accessories are 100% handmade and One of a kind. Her face is hand sculpted and painted using the finest art doll paints and is sealed to be water resistant. She has wired fingers and a soft body with an internal wire armature. She is padded with stuffing and is sewn to have realistic features. She has vibrant amber glass eyes and woolly mohair.

Essie's hair has been hand-colored and styled for a street-walker appearance. Essie stands just under 12 inches tall including the base. Her feet have mounts to keep her steady on her base and because she is wired, she is also poseable. Essie has many small details from the runs in her black stockings to the dried leaves in the bottom of her crate.



The miniature cobblestone base is a mosaic piece crafted specifically for Essie. It is also lined with felt underneath so it won't scratch any countertops. This piece is signed and dated as an inscription on the back of her neck.
